Jewelry Designer Collaboration: Alexis Quinney

This was a collection of garments created for the CMU Student Fashion Show, Threads, which was celebrating its 20th anniversary. The collection was inspired by traveling to Europe during my study abroad and learning about Balenciaga by visiting his hometown and seeing various exhibits of his work. This initial inspiration was mixed with the digital textile print created from photographs taken at Hamlin Lake by artist Dick Bourgault.

Threads 2018
Collection Title: "Phoenix Rising"
Photographer: Sarah Riegler, Alli Rusco, Elizabeth Hosang

This was a collection of garments created for the CMU Student Fashion Show, Threads, which was celebrating its 20th anniversary. The collection was inspired by elements from previous collections made for Threads mixed with the inspiration of "surviving college"/trial by fire. Through the challenges of college I have risen from the ashes of my former self. This collection earned me the "Master's Award" for best graduate student collection.

(dis)Abled Beauty Exhibition: "Cut 2"
This design was created for the (dis)ABLED Beauty exhibition and  was completed on a prosthetic leg. The leg was donated towards the event and I selected this particular leg for my design. I overlayed commercial pattern pieces on the main portion of the prosthetic using modge podge before giving it a golden paint finish using various golden tones.
